Originally from Colorado, Wade and Debbie Cook are recent transplants to San Diego. They love serving as the current Pomerado Region Leaders! They both were baptized over 30 years ago while attending the University of Colorado - Boulder, Wade in 1987 and Debbie in 1989. Married in 1992, they have three wonderful adult daughters: McKenzie, Chandler and Alexis. All of whom are growing in their own walk with God as faithful disciples! Wade and Debbie went into the ministry in 1990 and served 24 years for the Denver Church of Christ before working three years for our sister organization HOPE worldwide. They were appointed as an Evangelist and Women’s Ministry leader in 2000 and Wade as an Elder for the Denver Church in 2017.
Wade holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree in Community Counselling from Denver Seminary. He is a Licensed Professional Therapist and has extensive experience in marital and pre-marital counseling, family dynamics, domestic violence and substance abuse. Debbie holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Masters degree in Bible and Theology from Lincoln Christian University. They have served on multiple international service teams and have a vast array of experience in specialized ministries.
Wade and Debbie have shared more than a few adventures together such as scuba diving in the Philippines and an extended missionary trip throughout SE Asia. They are excited to be working on their California bucket list which includes exploring the Sequoia National Park, Carlsbad Caverns and spending time with their toes in the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
